You also don't feel the pressure of anything underneath you.

Some people like to float with ambient light and soothing music playing, others prefer to be in complete darkness and silence.

How often Should I Float?

If you feel that your stress levels have increased and that you could do with escaping then this is the perfect time to Float. Not only will the experience quieten your mind but it will also leave you feeling deeply relaxed.

We get that the last think you want to do when you're feeling rushed and your stress levels are high is take time for you. But sometimes, to press pause for an hour, to interrupt the pattern and routine is just the ticket.
Not only will you do something good for yourself, but in interrupting your routine you can step back into it with fresh eyes.

With how often you should float, there is no right answer here. We have clients who come in weekly, others fortnightly or monthly. It depends on what is happening in your life. When times are very stressful, booking in an extra few sessions is what you need. Otherwise being proactive and making it a lifestyle choice is ideal.

How to get the most out of your Float Tank to improve Well Being

The simple answer here is to approach your first float without any expectation.

Guaranteed it is a very unique experience. Take a few moments to get used to the novelty of floating.
Then take a few moments to identify what is comfortable for you. Try with your hands behind your head, by your side or over your chest. Do you like the inflatable pillow provided or do you prefer to be without?

Once you have that sorted, it's time to start unwinding.

If your mind is super busy and won't switch off, we find that rolling with your thoughts and allowing them to come and go is ideal. When you are not forcing your thoughts, you're more likely to talk yourself into a dream state with ease.
With time and practice your mind will learn to relax quickly and you will then remain in a meditative state rather then sleep, for longer.
